SARA Reporting

The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) was passed by Congress in 1986. EPCRA was included as Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) and is sometimes referred to as SARA Title III. EPCRA provides for the collection and availability of information regarding the use, storage, production, and release of hazardous chemicals to the public and emergency responders in your communities.

Linde is reminding our customers of their responsibility as a buyer of cryogenic or refrigerated liquid products, compressed gases or chemicals such as Ammonia or Propylene to comply with all applicable reporting obligations under SARA Title III resulting from the presence on your site of these products. Further, as a Buyer you are required to warn and protect your employees and others exposed to the hazards posed by your storage and use of the products you purchase.

For your convenience we have included the link to the EPA website, below, which contains filing and forms information for each state. Most states now require you to file electronically.
