The CRYOLINE® SC cryogenic freezer from Linde is a freezer designed to handle delicate, sticky and hard to handle products in an efficient and hygienic way.
The freezer uses a disposable plastic film that travels through a conventional freezing tunnel in contact with cold plates. The cold for these plates is generated by the vaporization of liquid nitrogen at -196°C, giving very fast and effective freezing to the contact surface of the product. This means that the product is then free from belt marks and wrinkling and can be easily handled for further processing. Due to the nature of the belt, soft wet or sticky products can be readily handled without product deformation or sticking – even liquids can be frozen with ease. Since the belt is disposable, the freezer can be quickly and efficiently cleaned at the end of production, ready for the next day’s use, and changes in product do not require expensive delays.
